About the standard

ISO 14001 is a globally recognized standard specifying requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an environmental management system (EMS). Following the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle, it gives organizations a structured framework to address environmental obligations — pollution, resource consumption, waste, and energy use — and to demonstrate their commitment to environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Levels available

  • ISO 14001:2026 Foundation — For those who want to learn the basics of an environmental management system and its processes under the current edition of ISO 14001.
  • Lead Implementer — For those responsible for implementing and managing an EMS in their organization.
  • Lead Auditor — For those responsible for auditing and monitoring an EMS to support compliance and certification.
  • ISO 14001:2026 Transition — For professionals already certified against a prior edition who need to update their credential to the 2026 edition.

Who should attend

Environmental managers, sustainability officers, EHS professionals, implementers, and auditors responsible for managing or assessing an organization's environmental performance should attend.

Learning objectives

  • Understand the requirements of ISO 14001 for establishing and improving an EMS.
  • Learn to apply the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle to reduce waste, prevent pollution, and use resources efficiently.
  • Gain the competence to identify environmental aspects and support compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Develop the ability to audit an EMS for conformity to ISO 14001.

Why attend

Certification demonstrates commitment to environmental responsibility and equips you with the knowledge to implement, manage, and continually improve an EMS, building trust with customers, employees, and regulators. It also enhances professional credibility and career opportunities in a field where environmental performance is increasingly tied to organizational reputation and cost reduction.
