About the standard

ISO/IEC 27033 is a six-part series of standards covering the security of networks, devices, applications, services, and end users. It addresses how to secure communications between networks — through security gateways, VPNs, and wireless IP network access — and gives organizations guidance for identifying, analyzing, and designing controls against network security risks, from architecture and design through to gateway, VPN, and wireless-specific controls.

Levels available

  • Lead Network Security Manager — A single, comprehensive course for practitioners who need to plan, design, implement, and manage network security based on the full ISO/IEC 27033 series, building the skills to lead a network security program end to end.

Who should attend

This course is for network engineers, security architects, and IT professionals responsible for designing and managing secure network infrastructure. It also suits security managers who need a practical, standards-based framework to protect their organization's network assets.

Learning objectives

  • Understand the structure of the ISO/IEC 27033 series and how its six parts fit together
  • Learn to identify and analyze network security risks and requirements
  • Gain the competence to plan, design, and implement network security architecture
  • Understand the design and control considerations for security gateways, VPNs, and wireless networks
  • Learn how to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of network communications

Why attend

Networks sit at the core of every organization's IT infrastructure, and a compromised network can quickly turn into a broader security or privacy breach. This training builds the practical skills to reduce security incidents, cut network downtime, and protect information flowing across virtual and physical infrastructure — while an internationally recognized credential strengthens a professional's standing in network security roles.
