About the standard
ISO/IEC 42001 is the international standard for an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS). It sets out requirements and guidance for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving how an organization governs the AI systems it builds or uses. The standard's core aim is to keep AI development and use aligned with fairness, transparency, accountability, and privacy as the technology's role in business keeps expanding across industries.

- Foundation — Introduces the basics of AI governance and the AIMS framework, giving learners a working grasp of ISO/IEC 42001's key requirements and terminology.
- Lead Implementer — For those responsible for building and managing an AIMS in their organization, covering the practical skills to plan, deploy, and continually improve AI governance in line with the standard.
- Lead Auditor — For those responsible for auditing an AIMS, developing the competence to assess conformity and support organizations through certification.
